Intriguing Cyber Monday Deals

By Timothy R. Butler | Posted at 1:38 PM

There are an overwhelming avalanche of great deals (and not so great ones masked to look great) on any given Cyber Monday, but here are a few of Testy Tim’s standout favorites for 2024.

Editor’s Note: we are not receiving commission on any of these items, we simply think you’ll appreciate them.

Amazon Resale

The sub-store formerly known as Amazon Warehouse is where returned products go to get a second chance. Amazon Resale sells unopened or like-new, open box products with descriptions clearly denoting each one’s condition. One of the best hidden gem Cyber Monday secrets is that a wide swath of these products spanning Amazon’s gamut get an extra 20% off at checkout.

M1 MacBook Air

The first ever Apple Silicon chip, the M1, is remarkably youthful on its fourth birthday. Geriatric as that age is in tech years, the M1 is still a spry performer and my M1-powered daily driver still runs circles around many PCs. That makes this 2020 MacBook Air, now sold exclusively by Walmart, an intriguing option as one of the cheapest Macs ever: just $599 on Cyber Monday. The system has the same build quality as it sported when it premiered for hundreds more, so it will outclass any similarly priced option on the market.

DoorDash Deals

If you use DoorDash for food delivery (especially if you are a DashPass subscriber), don’t miss the special deals they have on non-food items this season. Prime among them is the coupon code “Cyber24” to knock $20 off $60 at major retailers such as Lowe’s and Staples. Many of these stores offer same-as-in-store prices via DoorDash, which makes this a fantastic deal.

Pwnage Ultra Custom Mechanical Keyboard

This oddly named company makes one of our favorite yet-to-be-reviewed-here keyboards. Once a year, they offer that board in a dramatically reduced price $69 bundle, featuring sturdy multiple sets of PBT keycaps and color-matched top plates to personalize it (or make it fit different seasons). It is sturdily built and satisfying to type on, so don’t miss this deal expecting it to reappear before next year.
